There’s a free scheduled shuttle to and from the hotels. Be sure to be picked up an hour before your scheduled helicopter ride.
You’ll find the GreenHeli office near Station X and Crown Regency. You can stay in their air-conditioned lounge while waiting for your flight. Its a good place to cool off during this hot summer.
The friendly staff will brief you on the safety guidelines and the general route of the tour.

What makes GreenHeli different from other helicopter tours in Boracay is the aircraft they use, which is the McDonnell Douglas MD500E that’s powered by turbine engines (same type as in jets).
It’s the same aircraft used by the Philippine Air Force. These are safer, modern, and more powerful than piston engine-based ones used by the competitor.

You’re immediately ready for take-off once the engine starts. This way, you can make the most out of your time and see more destinations.

All their pilots were formerly with the Philippine Air Force, so it’s safe to say you’re in good hands. They operate daily flights from 11 am to 5 pm. Their tours include 10-,15- and 20-minute helicopter ride packages around Boracay and to nearby islands.

The aircraft can accommodate a maximum of three passengers and a minimum of two.
Note: BORACAY ISLAND TOUR – P4,500/passenger, 10 minutes

We took a tour of the whole island of Boracay.
Notable sights were the aerial view of White Beach, Mt. Luho (highest peak in Boracay), Ilig-Iligan beach, Puka beach, Carabao island, Diniwid beach, Malay wind farm (wind mills), Caticlan airport, Crystal Cove Island, and Culabog beach.

There’s a great view of the horizon, thanks to the helicopter’s large cabin windows.

The best place to sit is in front, where you’ll get an even bigger and fantastic view of the whole island!

The ride can take you 500-700 meters up in the air.

Our tour featured irregular coastlines dotted with magical white sand beaches and highlighted the lush greeneries, coconut trees, and the small islands surrounding Boracay.
You can take the Carabao Island Tour (P6,750/passenger, 15 minutes) to get a bird’s eye view of the remote island’s turquoise waters and natural landmarks.

Cover a lot of ground, see the sights, and take beautiful photographs on this thrilling helicopter ride! The mix of excitement, nervousness, and joy one gets from it is something you should definitely experience at least once in your lifetime.
It’s a unique adventure you can try with friends or even with your special someone if you’re feeling romantic. It should make for a very memorable proposal! 😉

Disclosure: Our ride was courtesy of GreenHeli. I wrote this article with my biases, opinions, and insights.
P.S. GreenHeli also offers airport transfers from Caticlan/Kalibo to Boracay. It’s not just an aerial tour but also an efficient way to get to the island.
